Something that NC Lottery Director Tom Shaheen apparently thinks is "not a big problem" gets a full expose on Dateline NBC.
Chris Hansen, best known for his work at exposing pedophiles, dedicated tonight's episode to exposing lottery fraud and how some lottery retailers are taking advantage of players and the system to make big bucks.
The full article with video is here.
But with the appearance of lottery fraud documented in this much detail in California, why does North Carolina's lottery director seem like it's not a big deal? Given the NC Lottery's controversial beginnings, is the lottery director just trying to put on a good face for public relations sake?
sign all lottery tickets and then ask for them back,if they are losers, keep in mind under IRS law, you can deduct your losers ,if you win big,

I mailed two winning tickits directly to Ilonois Lottery and never recieved my money. I had contacted the lottery by email and was told how and where to mail them. When I check to find out where the money was they denied that they had recieved them and Ihave miss place the copies that I had made.As far as I know that end all investagastion even though it would e easy to find tickits purchased in one city and cashed the state capital.

Though, i was happy that dateline had exposed some of the lottery store owners and workers of their faudulent activities. But i also think a similar investigation should be conducted in the future to question the lottery commissioners on why is that for the past 10 years the prizes have decreased so dramatically, while the states continued to make more money, and perhaps have more peole addicted to playing lotteries.
I believe, if they are making more money, they should instead increase the prizes, but not decreasing them.
I would like to see you have a show on that too. To many people are playing and investing a lot of money, but very less people are winning, and when they do, most of the time the prizes are so insignificants. Well, that is really unjust.
by the way, i accentuated on scratch tickets, it's harder every year to win on those, and when you finally do, you won very little reward. It was not like that 10 to 15 years ago.

I suggest to the lottery officials to install a self served scanners in the stores or to make the displays be seen by customers too.
Thanks

It's sad how fraud has become a part of such an amazing habit. I love the lottery. Though, I've never won anything yet, I will still keep on trying. Visit www.bingo-room.com
